Our client is an exciting tech-focused investment firm in Washington, D.C. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with top Washington leaders and the exciting business of high-growth technology investing. This is not your typical 9-5 job and requires you to embrace "other duties as assigned," including errands and concierge activities to support the CEO, special events, and VIP clients. This job is remote until their office is completed in the next 6-12 months. At that time, it will be four days in office in addition to the in-person events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the office.
  • Manage complex calendars with independent decision making based on priorities which requires forward thinking and strategizing as well as comfort in scheduling within various time zones.
  • Plan and execute complex, detailed domestic and international travel itineraries, including all transportation, hotel accommodations, flights/trains, and obtain all necessary travel documents.
  • Review and reconcile all expenses for the CEO's business and personal credit cards.
  • Develop and maintain expense tracking system for various entities.
  • Administrative duties (i.e. answering phones and transcribing message for the CEO, completing call list, printing requests, document preparation)
  • Oversee management of multiple properties, including working with local vendors, managing expenses, etc.
  • Process all approved charitable contributions.
  • Process paperwork for wire transfers and make sure CEO has given authorization to vendor.
  • Assist accountants for multiple entities as needed.
  • Assist with portfolio company items as needed.
  • Manage special projects as needed.

Essential Skills and Attributes:
Experience: 3-5 years of successful experience in a similar capacity is preferred. The candidate must be a skilled user of standard MS Office suite programs and have experience working with a high-net-worth individual with multiple entities. The candidate must also be self-motivated and able to excel in an unsupervised, fluid environment.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Organizational Skills: Proven experience in successfully managing multiple assignments on time. A high degree of flexibility in dealing with changing priorities and demands and exercising sound judgment around priorities.

Communication Skills: A good listener with great interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly in writing or in personal and can do so with poise, diplomacy and discretion.

Problem Solving: Proven ability to take in lots of information in short order and act on it or make recommendations. Successful experience in handling logistical assignments such as travel scheduling and event planning.

Leadership: Powerful work ethic and commitment to get the job done. Flexibility to work long hours and weekends if needed.
