JOB TITLE: Talent Acquisition Specialist

POSITION GRADE: 82 [ salary range: 22.50-38.30/hr commensurate with education and experience ]

DEPARTMENT: Talent and Culture

SUPERVISOR: Director of Talent and Culture

SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Director of Talent and Culture, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the full recruiting life cycle, actively sourcing, recruiting, and screening candidates, leveraging technology, social media platforms and best practices. The Talent Acquisition Specialist works collaboratively with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and supports the Director of Talent and Culture in developing an annual recruiting strategy. This position is responsible for ensuring consistency in hiring practices across the organization and supports the Talent and Culture team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exercises full compliance with the Agency’s Code of Conduct, all Agency Policies and Procedures.
  • Supports the Director of Talent and Culture in developing the recruiting strategy annually in collaboration with agency leaders and Talent and Culture team members.
  • Actively supports DEIB and a trauma informed culture in sourcing and hiring a diverse workforce.
  • Leads weekly recruiting meeting with hiring managers, and maintains position control document.
  • Develops an effective screening and interviewing process and ensures consistency across the organization. (interview questions, applicant evaluation tool, etc.)
  • Maintains confidentiality and security for all client and staff related materials and/or records.
  • Performs all facets of full life cycle recruiting, from sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, and screening, all the way to hire.
  • Recruits potential candidates through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), job boards, job fairs at area colleges and other identified sources; maintains the ATS and ensures applicants are moved through the process in a timely manner; ensures applicants receive updates regarding application status.
  • Makes new connections and build relationships with people passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth.
  • Coordinates on site interview and other recruitment related meetings and events.
  • Manages written and verbal communication with candidates throughout recruiting process.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers during the interview and hiring process.
  • Supports the onboarding of new hires, including New Hire Orientation, in collaboration with Talent and Culture team members.
  • Assists Director of Talent and Culture with tracking and reporting key recruitment metrics, including turnover, time to fill and time to hire, etc.
  • Coordinates internal and external postings and assists with developing effective position descriptions.
  • Works on HR projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field or HR certification required.
  • 5 years of industry experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The following lists physical demands an employee will perform on a regular basis: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing stairs.
