Position Overview

SUMMARY: The Corporate Recruiter will leverage both conventional and innovative resources along with a network of established contacts to discover, attract, and/or headhunt talent. Resources may include community networking events, job fairs, online platforms, career fairs, and advertising/marketing initiatives. Responsible for completing all onboarding processes for new hires.

Recruitment Strategy Development (25%)
  • Formulate and implement recruitment strategies to achieve organizational targets and objectives.
  • Create and refine job postings.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on recruitment tactics for open roles; secure requisition approval to initiate recruiting and sourcing.
  • Establish and monitor measurable aspects of the recruitment and hiring process to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Draft job postings based on accurate and current job descriptions.
  • Offer insights on optimal candidate sourcing based on job openings.
  • Lead the interview strategy for each open role.
  • Investigate and recommend new avenues for sourcing both active and passive candidates.
  • Build networks to identify qualified passive candidates.
Candidate Evaluation (20%)
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ascertain needs.
  • Advertise positions across various online platforms, professional organizations, and other relevant venues.
  • Review resumes and candidate profiles on a daily basis.
  • Identify candidates who align with the requirements of open positions.
  • Conduct preliminary phone screenings to assess minimum qualifications and determine candidates for the next hiring phase.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to coordinate interviews with managers, managing multiple calendars as necessary.
  • Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure hiring objectives are met.
  • Act as a liaison with local employment agencies and educational institutions.
  • Prepare timely reports on recruitment activities.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in anticipation of future needs.
  • Onboarding Process (10%)
  • Organize all necessary documentation and onboarding logistics: IT, Finance, Freight, Design, and Administration to ensure a seamless onboarding experience from day one.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation sessions.
  • Design and present a mentorship program for new hires; upon approval, implement the plan and follow up on progress monthly.
  • Interview Process (25%)
  • Conduct initial phone interviews and, when necessary, initial in-person interviews to narrow down the candidate pool.
  • Schedule interviews with team members as required.
  • Participate in interviews as needed.
  • Ensure all interview participants have the necessary materials, including interview questions, job descriptions, resumes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Clarify the interview process for all interviewees and interviewers.
  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding interview and candidate status.
  • Provide information about the organization and benefits during the screening process.
  • Stay informed about the company's organizational structure, personnel policies, and applicable employment laws.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the interviewing process.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Reference Verification and Offer Stage (20%)
  • Conduct all reference checks prior to extending an offer.
  • Provide hiring recommendations to the VP of HR and hiring manager.
  • Prepare offer packages for selected candidates and manage the offer process until acceptance and orientation commencement.
