Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBluegrass Orthopaedics is hiring a full-time Human Resources Manager in Lexington, KY.

Basic Function

The Human Resources Manager will manage all HR functions for BGO, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting our mission to deliver excellent patient care. Functions include Employee Engagement, Payroll Functions, Onboarding activities, and Employee Relations support to BGO teams.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  2. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  4. Complete understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  6. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  7. Experience in healthcare of medical practice settings is preferred.
Job Knowledge
  1. Greenway Intergy preferred
  2. Paycom experience preferred
  3. Knowledge of HR-related competencies
  4. OSHA compliance knowledge
  5. Healthcare compliance
  6. Medical Terminology

Skills and Abilities
  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  2. Aptitude for problem solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  3. Ability to maintain effective and organized systems.
  4. Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Responsibilities
  1. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a resource for employees regarding policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
    • Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Oversee and implement Employee Engagement Activities
  1. Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement performance management systems, including performance reviews, feedback mechanisms, and employee development plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance issues, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  1. Compensation and Benefits:
  • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to recommend improvements to compensation and benefits packages.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities and support career advancement initiatives for employees.
  1. HR Administration:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, payroll records, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and manage HR budgets, forecasts, and reports for senior management.
