- Conduct thorough background checks and verify employee eligibility.
- Perform employment verification tasks.
- Support the HR team in onboarding new hires and implementing employee recognition initiatives.
- Manage daily HR administrative duties, including employee documentation, training and development, benefits assistance, leave management, and attendance tracking.
- Act as a liaison between operational teams and HR, ensuring effective communication.
- Provide timely updates and critical information regarding HR matters to all staff.
- Address employment-related inquiries from candidates, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues to appropriate HR personnel.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, regularly reviewing policies for compliance.
- Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in human resources and employment law.
- Assist in managing performance evaluations.
- Support investigations related to employee disciplinary actions.
- Facilitate compliance and tracking of safety training.
- Oversee recruitment, referral, and sign-on bonus initiatives.
- Promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging efforts.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Strong time management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Capacity to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a human resources role is required.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is advantageous.
