GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and secondarily to the Vice President of Human Resources.  This position is responsible for communicating, directing, and supporting internal and external Human Resources customers, and completing administrative and generalist Human Resources functions.  Additionally, the Human Resources Coordinator assists with the operation of the learning management system, tracking employee education records, issuing education certificates, scheduling clinical and non-clinical training, and ensuring program compliance with applicable rules and regulations. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist Human Resources team, including Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development, with a variety of administrative and generals Human Resources Functions.
  2. Track training modules, report completion, and data entry for learning management system (LMS). Provide guidance to leaders and staff on the effective use of LMS. Support BMC mandatory training program compliance.
  3. Provide administrative support and coordination, including managing certificate issuance, for clinical education programs including BLS, ACLS, PALS and Pro-ACT.
  4. Assist in preparing educational activities including development of educational resources, coordinating event registration, and providing logistical support. 
  5. Assist in preparing organizational initiatives that assist in overall effectiveness.  
  6. Support new employee orientation and employee onboarding.
  7. Assist staff and applicants regarding applications, transfer requests, qualifications review, and interviews.
  8. Maintain accurate applicant flow data, application filing, and retrieval system through Applicant Tracking System (ATS). 
  9. Attend career fairs and assist with communication to applicants and supervisors.
  10. Schedule pre-employment health assessments, reference checks and background checks of applicants.
  11. Process employee status and position changes in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and notify Payroll and Benefits Coordinator of appropriate changes.
  12. Support new and existing data integrations that share HR data with internal and external partners.
  13. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department as needed.
  14. Support and embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
  15. Assist in other duties or special projects as assigned.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
  1. Adhere to BMC Service Excellence and HR confidentiality standards.
  2. Support and ensure program compliance standards are met.
  3. Accurately process employee status and position changes.
  4. Maintain consistent communication with internal and external customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's Degree in related filed, or 4 years of relevant Human Resources position, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned duties.
  2. Ability to maintain and update Human Resources systems including HRIS, ATS and LMS.
  3. Proficiency with computer programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  4. Ability to write and proofread detailed documents.
  5. Ability to communicate in an effective and positive manner.
  6. Ability to multi-task.
  7. Willingness to innovate and adopt new practices. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  2. 2 years of Human Resources experience in a complex organization.
  3. Experience in a healthcare or related organization.  
  4. Experience with WorkDay
