Position Overview:

Role Objective: This position is dedicated to providing comprehensive human resource assistance to Physician/APC providers, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of business and HR operations that align with the strategic goals of the organization. The role involves engaging with physicians, executives, and various management levels to deliver and share vital information while executing HR operational policies and procedures. A solid understanding of provider employment, HR Center of Excellence (COE), and HR Shared Services (HRSS) is essential, along with proficiency in internal systems (e.g., Workday, Kronos timekeeping) to review, validate, and process HR actions specific to providers. Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, processing actions, generating reports, managing internal databases, supporting special projects, and providing diverse administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a primary contact for employed providers regarding inquiries and requests related to compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, status changes, malpractice insurance, contract modifications, and continuing medical education (CME).
  • Utilize strategic insights to address complex issues and provide sound advice and feedback.
  • Compile and analyze data to create reports for presentation to Medical Group Administration and Physician Leaders.
  • Collaborate with PES recruiting staff to ensure precision in the applicant hiring process.
  • Work closely with HR, Administration, Finance, and Payroll to resolve provider employment-related issues.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new providers and residents, offering ongoing support for HR-related inquiries.
  • Support managers with Time and Attendance coding and issues related to providers.
  • Coordinate with Leave Administrator and Finance to manage provider leaves of absence.
  • Audit and maintain HR data within the HR/Payroll system in accordance with provider employment agreements.
  • Contribute to HR communications by developing materials, compiling data, and posting updates on internal platforms.
  • Engage in the continuous enhancement of HR practices, procedures, and processes, participating in projects and ad-hoc requests related to HR functions. Stay informed of and comply with HR plans, policies, procedures, relevant laws, and compliance regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support, demonstrating proficiency in various software applications and navigating internal information systems.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as Trinity Health's Corporate Integrity Program and Code of Ethics, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • May undertake special HR-related assignments or projects.
  • Participate actively in assigned meetings.
  • Identify personal learning needs and seek development opportunities.
  • May join system-wide task forces or committees to further organizational goals.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in human resources or physician/provider recruitment is required.
  • Experience supporting physicians/providers is preferred.
  • SPHR/PHR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
