We are seeking a skilled Property Accounting Manager to oversee the daily accounting operations of our properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, property maintenance, and strong leadership.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the property and revenue accountants; review monthly deliverables and quarterly financial packages
  • Orchestrate and oversee the monthly close process for your assigned properties.
  • Coordinate monthly processes, team meetings, quarterly procedures, property status, forecast/budgets, and financial package reviews
  • Oversee the delivery of reporting packages.
  • Coordinate the group’s adherence to internal control policies.
  • Review the presentation of fixed assets for appropriate depreciation/amortization.
  • Lead the coordination with the external auditor regarding their interim internal controls testing and interim/year end substantive property level testing.
  • Manage the acquisitions/dispositions post-close checklist process.
  • Identify training needs, track performance, coach, prepare year-end reviews, and motivate the team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 5+ years of property accounting experience
  • CAM experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detailed and organized
  • MRI/Yardi experience
