Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA top client is searching for a Director of Channel Sales in the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh Areas. The ideal candidate is a “player-coach” with an understanding of Channel Sales, UCaaS & Contact Center services, Reseller/Partner needs, and proven experience in successful sales and team management. Ultimately, the role of the Director of Channel Sales is to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s competitive position in the market.

As the Director of Channel Sales, you will:
  • Lead and support the Channel Sales team of 10-15 Channel Account Executives and Business Development Associates, to achieve sales targets.
  • Establish sales targets and KPIs for the Channel Sales team, monitoring performance and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Meet assigned sales targets to increase sales volume.
  • Assist Channel Sales team to effectively communicate the value proposition through presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with small, medium, and large Resellers.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our Reseller customer base.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting accurately and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports on Channel Sales performance and Reseller engagement.
  • Forecast monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Ensure our Channel Sales team is educated and fully knowledgeable about our products & services, processes and procedures.
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
  • Continuously provide training, resources, and support to Channel Sales team, ensuring they are equipped to effectively meet their sales targets.
  • Interview and hire additional Channel Sales Executives and Business Development Associates as needed.
To be successful in the role you must possess:
  • At least 5-10 years Channel Sales experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a leadership role managing a Channel Sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving revenue growth.
  • Competitive nature
  • Self-driven sense of motivation
  • Strong familiarity with telecommunications, UCaaS, VOIP, SaaS, IP, SIP, Hosted PBX, etc.
  • B2B telephone sales a plus
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus
  • Knowledgeable of social media for business, e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc. also a plus
  • College degree a plus however high school or equivalent acceptable if candidate has the proper background and work experience

Compensation: $200,000+ OTE. 80K base plus 120K+ in variable compensation
