Position Summary:

Our company is looking for a motivated collections specialist to join our team. Your duties will include processing insurance claims, resolve claim issues, verifying insurance information and verify all necessary documentation is obtained per compliance requirements. A successful candidate should possess outstanding communication and organizational skills, problem-solving and critical thinking skills and goal-oriented.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily monitoring and processing of outstanding insurance claims.
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking ability, to include data entry, processing, capturing details of inquiries, comments or complaints and communicate and coordinate with internal departments. 
  • Timeliness of processing all incoming / out-going correspondence for insurance claims. 
  • Processes claim rejections and denials to determine next steps. 
  • Coordinate client information and process paperwork for billing / collections, either direct system input, document scanning, fax processing or photocopying and forward to appropriate personnel for action. 
  • Organize and maintain filing system, client information and billing / collections data in an efficient manner, provides document reporting / retrieval as required. 
  • Answer telephones promptly and courteously. Responding to emails and voicemails promptly. 
  • Participates in aspects of the company’s quality assurance program

 

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Comfortable working with personal goals and measurable results.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reporting, Administrative Writing, Microsoft Office, Managing Processes, Organization, Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem Solving, strong Verbal and Written Communication
  • Safeguard and protect the privacy and security “protected health information” as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPPA”)
