Position Summary: The role of a Drug Testing Sample Collector involves the collection of biological samples for medical evaluation. This position requires a trained professional to interact directly with clients undergoing drug testing, adhering to specific protocols for sample collection and transportation to laboratories. Ensuring the integrity of the collection process is crucial, as it directly influences the reliability of the test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear explanations of the testing procedures to clients.
- Conduct initial inspections of the specimens submitted by clients.
- Complete necessary documentation, including the Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF).
- Distribute copies of the CCF to relevant parties, including laboratories and medical review officers.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the collection site.
- Transport samples to certified laboratories for analysis.
- Be prepared to travel locally and statewide as required.
- Conduct home visits when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met.
- Provide a supportive and secure environment for clients.
- Exhibit high-quality customer service in all interactions.
- Promote a positive image of Urban Grow Group and its initiatives.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests for information.
- Participate in required training sessions and staff meetings.
- Maintain necessary certifications and stay updated on relevant policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, with at least one year of experience in sample collection.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Completion of a training course covering DOT drug testing procedures.
- Proficiency in sample collection techniques.
- Certification as a Certified DOT Urine Specimen Collector.
- Knowledge of Part 40 regulations and DOT guidelines.
- Direct, face-to-face interaction with clients is essential.
- Proficient in MS Office and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License with a clean driving history for a minimum of three years.
- Reliable transportation and professional liability car insurance are required.
- Completion of mandatory online training provided by GEMS.
