Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Carespring Healthcare Management as a Billing Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth processing and submission of billing for patients in skilled nursing facilities.

As a Billing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage billing processes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and timely billing by collaborating with facility staff and overseeing collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage billing and collections for various skilled nursing facilities.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of accounts receivable aging reports for accuracy and outstanding balances.
  • Engage with insurance companies to address denied claims and short payments, working towards resolution of outstanding balances.
  • Maintain detailed notes on accounts, outlining next steps during account reviews.
  • Respond to inquiries via email promptly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with facility personnel to identify and rectify issues in a timely manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from patients, families, and facility staff.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic professional environment.
  • Comfortable working in a cubicle setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly via phone and email.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and web navigation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in interpreting insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
  • Ability to discuss claims information with insurance representatives is a plus.
