Chief Operating Officer (Integrator)


Position Title: COO

Reports To: President (Visionary)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Position Overview:

The Integrator is a key leadership role within the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework. Acting as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Integrator will support the President (Visionary) by translating the vision into actionable plans and ensuring the successful execution of business strategies. The Integrator is responsible for harmonizing all major functions of the organization and driving accountability and alignment. This position has direct oversight of human resources, sales, operations, and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Execution:

  • Translate the Visionary's vision into practical, executable plans.
  • Lead the implementation of the company's strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of all departments with the overall company strategy.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the leadership team.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture; drive the accountability and performance development of the organization.
  • Ensure the right people are in the right seats, aligning with the company's core values and goals.
  • Lead by example, live the values of the organization, and operate with integrity.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in partnership with the President and the Controller.
  • Ensure financial targets are met and financial health is maintained.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the Visionary and the leadership team.

Problem Solving:

  • Identify and resolve issues that hinder progress.
  • Facilitate effective decision-making processes.
  • Ensure that obstacles are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between the Visionary and the rest of the organization.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication across all levels of the company.
  • Drive accountability through effective reporting and meeting rhythms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or Integrator within the EOS framework.
  • Strong understanding of business and proven leadership over functions such as HR, Finance, Sales, and Operations.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
