Position Purpose:

The CFO will play a crucial role in shaping Steeltech's financial strategy and operations.  This seasoned professional will be responsible for analyzing, strategizing, and growing our financial position while adapting to changing market conditions.  As a key member of the senior management team, the CFO will provide strategic financial leadership and clear, effective communication.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Oversee all aspects of financial management, including cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting

·         Drive the company's financial strategy and contribute to hiring decisions

·         Develop and implement annual operating, capital, and program budgets

·         Ensure robust cash flow management and oversee day-to-day accounting, reporting, and internal control activities

·         Implement best practices and tools for fiscal management, project coordination, and cross-team communications

·         Ensure compliance with national and local financial requirements

·         Collaborate with senior managers on budget proposals and financial reporting

·         Identify revenue opportunities, analyze economic trends, and optimize internal operations

·         Perform risk management and evaluate capital structure and fundraising initiatives

·         Monitor business performance, establish corrective measures, and prepare detailed reports for various stakeholders

·         Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems

 

Required Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

·         Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in executive leadership roles

·         Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and tax planning

·         Proven experience in strategic financial planning and analysis

·         Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams

·         Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills

·         Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

·         Experience in raising capital and managing investor relations

·         Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance

·         CPA or other relevant professional certification

·         Experience in the steel industry or related manufacturing sectors

·         Knowledge of international finance and global market dynamics

·         Expertise in mergers and acquisitions

·         Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software (Odyssey)

·         Track record of successful cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
