Shopify / E-Commerce Platform Specialist


The Shopify / E-Commerce Platform Specialist will be responsible for delivering excellent digital customer experiences in support of the DTC and B2B growth objectives. You will develop, implement, test and deploy e-commerce platform features, optimizations, bug fixes, custom functionality and third-party integrations. You will partner with business and IT stakeholders to plan, prioritize, deliver and measure results for enhancements and new feature/capabilities in support of the digital roadmap.


Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and optimize our Shopify storefronts, ensuring high performance and responsive applications on desktop and mobile devices

Partner with merchandising and marketing teams to understand DTC business goals, define customer segments/journeys and implement growth strategies

Facilitate platform changes/enhancements by defining business and technical requirements that are actionable by external or internal partners

Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of website changes; monitor and gauge impact to customers and the business

Help develop actionable site metrics; utilize behavioral and performance data to identify user experience and conversion path pain points to inform enhancements and roadmap prioritization

Help define and execute A/B tests and experiments aimed at improving usability, optimizing engagement and driving conversion

Work with external third parties, as required, to plan and implement projects and deliver new opportunities

Test and debug the website to ensure optimal performance

Implement best SEO practices and strategies to increase website visibility

Ensure sites meet industry standards for security and data protection

Help assess and identify new product opportunities to determine which are worth pursuing


Qualifications


Bachelors degree or relevant experience in E-Commerce, Marketing, Data Analytics or related field

3-5 years of experience with Shopify+ (B2C) or similar e-commerce platform(s); B2B experience a plus

Experience integrating third-party services, including Shopify apps and APIs

Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently

Previous experience partnering with internal IT teams to ideate, execute and troubleshoot cross-functional initiatives

Comfortable using quantitative and qualitative data to inform business decisions

Understanding of best practices and UX design principles for commercially driven web experiences

Track record of meeting and exceeding performance targets while balancing multiple projects

Organized team player with a natural curiosity and strong ability to problem solve

Current with emerging digital trends, technologies and platforms


Preferred Qualifications


Experience in the retail industry

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Liquid

Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Experience developing integrations with third-party systems via APIs/web services

Deep understanding of e-commerce ecosystems
