A typical week is Monday-Friday but varies during our busy wedding and event season when our team is busy many nights and weekends. We'd let you know in advance if you're needed in the evenings, but a flexible schedule is required.


In this role you'll assist with a variety of office tasks, manage our corporate drop-off/pick-up orders, and assist our producers with our weddings and events. You would work closely with BDP's owner, event producers, and chefs managing logistics, working with vendors, assisting with client tastings, styling tables and events, scheduling staff, basic admin duties, managing ticket sales and assisting at events.


Day-to-Day Tasks

•Works closely with owner and wedding & events team to ensure an efficient operation
•Assists in managing and organizing the workload we can take
•Builds and maintains strong relationships with corporate, film and non-profit clients
•Lead point person for our corporate/film clients
•Ensures all client’s catering expectations are met
•Creates new ways for BDP to enhance the overall client experience
•Talks menu over with clients as needed, prepares menus, builds proposals, invoices and contracts
•Serves as liaison and coordinator between office, kitchen, soon to reopen cafe, and drivers for these catering jobs
•Schedules delivery drivers, follows up on deliveries, checks out drivers
•Resolves client concerns and ensure timely client payment
•Follows up with clients on jobs and events, reports to our team, etc
•Assists in any office/business tasks (applying for licenses, purchasing vehicle stickers, ordering office supplies, scheduling repairs, etc)
•Works events when all hands needed (advance notice is usually given)
•Answers phones, greets visitors, gives tours
•Schedules appointments and maintains calendar
•Keeps the owner on track for tasks
•Maintains a filing system
•Assists in keeping office organized and clean along with the entire office staff
•Contributes to our all-hands-on team effort to accomplish results for the entire company

 

Requirements

•You must be fully vaccinated

•Relevant industry experience
•Savvy professional with excellent leadership skills to manage people and events
•Understanding of proper etiquette, a friendly attitude, a sense of style and sense of humor
•Well versed in catering and hospitality, all types of cuisine, event table service, sanitation and safety procedures
•Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, and follow through
•Must have a great time management skills
•Must be well spoken and have great writing skills (both in composing letters and handwriting menus for staff)
•Experience with Apple products and ability to learn new computer programs.
•Must have a cheerful personality and work well with a team
•Must be well groomed and make a great first impression
•Must be able to deal with high-pressure situations in a cool manner
•Must be flexible to constant changes

Requirements:
•Flexible schedule
•Valid driver’s license
•Fully vaccinated
•The position requires physical activity and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time and the ability to load equipment in and out of buildings, move equipment, etc.
