We’re looking for our next experienced Nutrition Services Specialist to join our Nutrition Services team. Reporting to the Manager, Nutrition Services, you’ll become an expert in MealSuite’s foodservice management systems with respect to food and nutrition data. We are only able to consider Registered Dietitians or RDNs for this role.

A day in the life as a Nutrition Services Specialist:

  • Complete assigned menu services projects related to menus, recipes, and foods utilizing established industry standard practices and MealSuite systems expertise
  • Develop menus and perform nutrient analysis inclusive of therapeutic and texture-modified diets for long term care, senior living, and acute care environments using culinary and menu development expertise
  • Perform recipe quality assurance analysis utilizing culinary principles and MealSuite recipe standards to ensure accuracy and standardization of MealSuite system core recipes
  • Assist customers in data set-up relative to therapeutic and texture-modified diets utilizing knowledge of industry standard dietary practices and MealSuite systems expertise
  • Communicate with customers via phone, e-mail and video conference, ensuring all relevant correspondence is accurate, timely, professional and in keeping with company and departmental policies
  • Provide customer training and support as necessary
  • Assist in development of internal and external data management resources

In the first 6 months to a year, you’ll be successful at reaching these milestones:

  • Work in collaboration with the Manager, Nutrition Services to develop and refine the new RD Menu Signature Program

If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, then this role could be for you:

  • I am a Registered Dietitian or RDN (mandatory)
  • I have knowledge of therapeutic and IDDSI texture-modified diets
  • I gained my knowledge through formal education plus several years of experience in long-term care, senior living, and/or acute care settings
  • I have thorough knowledge of healthcare foodservice regulations
  • I have experience using dietary / foodservice software
  • I have exceptional attention to detail and value the importance of data integrity
  • I am autonomous and can prioritize and complete my work accurately and on-time
  • I’m capable of making logical decisions and have demonstrable experience exercising critical thinking and project management skills
  • I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
