The HVAC Service Manager is an integral part of our success

As our HVAC Service Manager, you will lead a talented group of HVAC Service Technicians and oversee all aspects of the HVAC Service Department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Manage and lead HVAC Service staff by planning, directing, coordinating and/or supporting the work of the HVAC Service group employees; taking corrective action and providing assistance in problem solving.
  2. Create and implement plans for the profitable growth of the HVAC Service Department.
  3. Prospect and qualify potential new customers for service contracts and commercial replacement units.
  4. Ensure extraordinary customer service by the department and assist in resolving customer complaints / issues related to service.
  5. Provide technical and estimating support to staff when applicable.
  6. Assist in setting annual sales and gross margin quotas along with departmental budget.
  7. Coordinate and implement departmental strategies as assigned by the Director of HVAC.
  8. Develop HVAC Service staff by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, mentoring, training, and reviewing the performance of all staff employees.
  9. Manage department expenses at or below the annual budget.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position provides direct supervision for Service Technicians.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or technical discipline preferred.



Experience:

3-5 years of supervisory and organizational leadership preferred.

3-5 years of HVAC technical and estimating experience for residential and light commercial required

Knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems required

Knowledge of traditional forced air, rooftop units, and ductless split systems required

Knowledge of geo-thermal systems preferred

Consultative selling experience required

Valid driver's license required

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong personnel management and leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Computer skills on a variety of office software packages including MS Office and Outlook.

Other Requirements:


While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. Hours will vary depending upon customer availability and may also spend a considerable amount of time in vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to a moderate noise level.
