Position Overview:
The HVAC Service Operations Leader plays a crucial role in our organization. You will manage a skilled team of HVAC Service Technicians and oversee the comprehensive operations of the HVAC Service Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor HVAC Service personnel by organizing, directing, and supporting their daily activities; provide guidance in problem-solving and corrective actions.
- Develop and execute strategies for the profitable expansion of the HVAC Service Department.
- Identify and engage potential clients for service agreements and commercial replacements.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving service-related complaints.
- Offer technical and estimating assistance to team members as needed.
- Collaborate in establishing annual sales targets and departmental budgets.
- Implement departmental strategies as directed by the HVAC Director.
- Recruit, interview, and train HVAC Service staff, conducting performance evaluations.
- Monitor departmental expenses to align with the annual budget.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Supervisory Role:
This position includes direct oversight of Service Technicians.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in supervisory roles and organizational leadership is preferred, along with 3-5 years of HVAC technical and estimating experience in residential and light commercial settings. Familiarity with various HVAC systems, including traditional forced air, rooftop units, and ductless split systems, is essential. Knowledge of geothermal systems is a plus. Experience in consultative selling is required. A valid driver's license is mandatory.

- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in various office software, including MS Office and Outlook.
Additional Requirements:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk, or hear. The role may involve significant time spent in a vehicle, and the employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Exposure to moderate noise levels may occur.
