Role Summary:

The HVAC Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in our organizational success. In this position, you will lead a skilled team of HVAC Service Technicians and manage all facets of the HVAC Service Division.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and guide HVAC Service personnel by planning, directing, coordinating, and supporting their work; addressing issues and providing problem-solving assistance.
  2. Develop and execute strategies for the profitable expansion of the HVAC Service Division.
  3. Identify and engage potential new clients for service agreements and commercial replacement projects.
  4. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by managing service quality and addressing client concerns effectively.
  5. Offer technical guidance and estimating support to team members as necessary.
  6. Assist in establishing annual sales targets and gross margin objectives alongside departmental budgeting.
  7. Implement departmental strategies as directed by the HVAC Director.
  8. Enhance the HVAC Service team through recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
  9. Control departmental expenditures to align with the annual budget.
  10. Perform additional duties as required.

Supervisory Duties:

This role includes direct oversight of Service Technicians.


Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related technical field is preferred.

Experience:

3-5 years of leadership experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

3-5 years of hands-on HVAC technical and estimating experience for residential and light commercial applications is required.

Familiarity with residential and light commercial HVAC systems is essential.

Knowledge of traditional forced air systems, rooftop units, and ductless split systems is required.

Experience with geo-thermal systems is a plus.

Consultative sales experience is necessary.

A valid driver's license is required.

  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
  • Proficient in various office software applications, including MS Office and Outlook.

Additional Requirements:

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk, or hear. The hours may vary based on customer needs, and a significant amount of time may be spent in a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may be exposed to moderate noise levels.
