Senior Federal Classification Specialist

Dutch Ridge Consulting Group is seeking Senior Federal Classification Specialists to support our work with a federal client in Washington, DC. This is a Remote position on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis.

As a Senior Classification Specialist, you will work with a team of Classifiers' reviewing requests for Senior Executive Service (SES) and Senior Leader (SL) positions to ensure they are properly classified and sound from a position management standpoint. Duties will include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing requests to fill SES/SL positions.
  • Appling classification standards and position management expertise to ensure the requests comply with OPM and agency directives.
  • Documenting your assessments and recommendations.
  • Providing reports on completed and classified position descriptions.
  • Coordinating with other team members on assigned projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Federal Position Classification of senior positions with a strong. understanding of the guidelines, procedures and policies established by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
  • Previous documented employment with a federal agency, demonstrating a deep familiarity with federal position management systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex classification standards and decisions to senior leaders.
  • Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with federal civilian position classification of Senior Executive Service positions.
  • Experience conducting position reviews and desk audits of senior positions.

Job Location:

This is a Remote position on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis.
