As a Realty Specialist, you will:
Be responsible for carrying out FHWA programs and related activities, for Federal-Aid highway projects under authority of eminent domain statutes and legislation.
Serve as the Office's national technical authority in the FHWA for one or more program areas; participate in national-level policy formulation and problem solving; lead initiatives to develop, promote, and demonstrate state-of-the-art training practices, tools and technology; and provide guidance and leadership to resolve matters which are complex, controversial, and/or generate precedent.
Serve as a National spokesperson or represents the FHWA in contacts with officials of other departments, agencies, professional colleagues, and the general public.
Provide coordination, liaison, negotiation, and consultation to officials in Federal, state and local governments, public and private organizations.
Lead interagency, multi-entity teams, and/or multi-national teams and serve on intra-agency tasks forces to furnish expert advice and representation.
The ideal candidate provides leadership, coordination, and support for program activities such as property management, relocation assistance, property valuation, real property acquisition, outdoor advertising, junkyard control, Uniform Act lead agency, and other services and programs under the authority of eminent domain statutes and legislation.
