Position Summary:

As a Sustainability Manager, you will be a crucial member of the Global Internal Sustainability Team, driving the company's mission to achieve net-zero climate impact by 2030. Your primary focus will be on developing and managing the company’s carbon portfolio, with a strong emphasis on carbon removal solutions. This role demands a combination of strategic business skills, in-depth knowledge of corporate climate action, and the ability to navigate complex and dynamic situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the company's carbon removal portfolio.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in carbon markets, including new players, standards, policies, and market conditions, to inform actionable recommendations.
  • Enhance the carbon portfolio sourcing process and negotiate partnerships and deals aligned with the company's net-zero goals.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on various carbon removal technologies by collaborating with partners and internal experts.
  • Support both internal and external communication efforts related to the carbon portfolio strategy.
  • Contribute to the overall enhancement of the company’s net-zero strategy, particularly from the perspective of the carbon portfolio and related budgeting.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to leverage portfolio partnerships into broader strategic initiatives.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing and build strong relationships with stakeholders within the voluntary carbon market ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience in climate finance, voluntary carbon markets, or carbon credit value chains.
  • Expertise in carbon programs or carbon removal technologies, including evaluating solutions for feasibility and scalability.

Who You'll Work With:

You will report to the Senior Director of Sustainability and work closely with the Internal Sustainability Team, including Directors, Senior Managers, and Analysts. You will also regularly engage with both internal and external stakeholders involved in carbon reduction initiatives.
