OPERATIONS MANAGER
Accountable to lead and manage all business operations of the Specialty Metals Products Division. Responsible to deliver sustained, profitable results consistent with the location business plan and customer requirements. Accountable for operations which ensure worker safety, compliance with environmental regulations and integration with the company quality systems. Responsible to drive the continuous improvement of all operations through the implementation of process improvements, lean initiatives and individual employee development.
Requirements:
- Education - BS in Engineering or similar technology major. Advanced degree desired.
- 10 years of demonstrated manufacturing management experience and success in a primary metals manufacturing environment with an appropriate progression of increased responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing resources planning and an integrated capital appropriations/budget plan.
- Hands-on experience with the development and implementation of Lean Initiatives, visual management and shop floor reporting systems.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills to enable the incumbent to provide effective and meaningful presentations to location employees, customers, division and corporate management.
