A leading children's medical institution is seeking a Surgical Supply Chain Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering medical supplies and equipment to the operating room of the medical center. The ideal candidate has two, three or more years of experience as a Supply Chain Technician working with surgical supplies, procedures, and medical terminology in a surgical environment

Surgical Supply Chain Technician Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $22/hr
  • Worksite: Leading children's medical institution (Irving, TX 75063 - Onsite, Must be able to work in other locations - Plano, TX and Dallas, TX)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment

Surgical Supply Chain Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform cyclical and annual inventories on both storeroom supplies and point of use systems.
  • Accept and process customer returns.
  • Maintain clean and clutter-free workspace to include receiving dock and storeroom.
  • Process emergency requests for stocked material.
  • Receiving: Retrieve incoming materials, supplies, and equipment delivered for the Operating Room from the receiving department.
  • Delivery/Stocking: Deliver direct delivery items, point of use (Omnicell) replenishments, and requisition self service items to the applicable storage locations.
  • Returns: Return supplies/equipment according to established timeframes and enter the return information on the appropriate forms.
  • Implementation: Evaluate project requests associated with field of expertise and/or systems supported, conducting current state assessments, requirements gathering, and definition, future state design, and application build activities.
  • Project Management: Prepare detailed project plans.
  • Production Support and Maintenance: On-call support (support calendar defined by Group or application suite, pager required). Ensure the integrity, integration, and stability of the production system.
  • Maintenance, Support, and Troubleshooting: Monitor, acknowledge, and resolve heat tickets as assigned.
  • Coordinate software and hardware patches, service packs, and version upgrades with customer departments and System Administrator(s). Troubleshoot application, process, and technical issues.
  • Ensure coordination and documentation of hardware and software support and upgrades (servers, SQL, Citrix servers, VM Ware, desktop, network, telecommunication, SAN storage, internet application, remote users).
  • Interface maintenance and support.

Surgical Supply Chain Technician Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of related experience.
  • Forklift operator certified (within 6 months) is preferred.
  • Experience with surgical supplies, procedures, medical terminology, and the surgical environment.
  • Use of automated technology such as point of use cabinets.
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation for system procedures.

Surgical Supply Chain Technician Shift:

  • Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.
