The Engineered Materials division is on the lookout for an innovative Global Supply Chain Strategist who can craft and implement a cohesive global supply strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, performance targets, and customer requirements, while ensuring compliance with global protocols and operational guidelines. This role entails overseeing, consolidating, and harmonizing regional plans to achieve working capital goals and align with business strategies amidst various constraints. The position will require collaboration and influence across diverse functions, including global business leadership, finance, manufacturing, and commercial sectors, as well as internal S&OP roles. This position will also contribute to strategic business decisions through scenario analysis and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide regional supply planners in developing monthly supply forecasts to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Oversee inter-regional logistics, addressing imbalances and discrepancies effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Global Business Director to shape business strategy based on supply capabilities and conduct scenario analyses.
  • Lead regional teams in regular updates of inventory strategies, lead times, safety stock levels, and segmentations.
  • Track working capital metrics and present forecasts, clarify deviations, and outline corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Formulate a comprehensive 5-year supply strategy to support business growth and propose solutions for any identified supply gaps.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive initiatives to achieve targets, including on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and production capacity.
  • Support strategic projects, initiatives, process enhancements, and cost-saving measures.

  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • APICS certification is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced planning and scheduling tools is preferred (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder).
  • Background in a chemical or plastic compounding environment is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
