This position manages aspects of the data collection and production cycle as outlined below. This role is also responsible for providing limited administrative support to the Vice President, Information Center.


Nature and Scope

  • Coordinates multiple internal and external priorities. This person will need to be able to work on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines while remaining calm and effective.
  • Develops, maintains and updates WHAIC’s sales database and has primary responsibility for fulfilling data sales and custom requests and managing WHAIC’s invoicing process.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of software tools including SQL Server and Microsoft Office, as needed for data request processing (database managers, spreadsheets, file translation utilities, etc.)
  • Assists in the development of internal validation and facility validation queries to allow analysis of data to ensure that data is plausible and consistent with historical norms.
  • In collaboration with WHAIC’s Data Analyst, produces data for inclusion in WHAIC’s annual publications.
  • Coordinates the communication with external PricePoint clients and works with the Web Developer to ensure sites are maintained timely and accurately and new sites are developed within assigned timelines.
  • Maintains the WHAIC website.
  • Coordinates and maintains tracking reports that allow for easy identification of facility-specific status related to data submission, survey submission, validation and affirmation.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for monitoring facility-specific status and communicating with facilities about the need to meet deadlines or submit missing information.
  • Assists with database maintenance (ICD-10-CM code updates, CPT-4 code updates, HCPCS Level II code updates, ZIP Code updates, physician database updates, etc.).
  • Assists WHA Information Center staff with data requests and analysis.
  • Assists WHA Information Center staff with surveys and database needs as requested.
  • Develops general correspondence and materials such as letters, memos, reports, etc. using computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, CRM and Excel with minimal direction.
  • Maintains electronic and paper files, data, minutes and other reports using databases, manual filing system and other systems as appropriate.
  • Develops presentation materials for large and small audiences that use audiovisual aids.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Performs related work as required.
Requirements:

Work requires a broad level of knowledge and/or experience in order to perform work such as preparation of reports, performing calculations, keeping records and working with PC-based software. Three years experience desired with database and PC software applications. Two-year degree in computer information systems or business required or 3+ years of equivalent experience. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Basic SQL Server knowledge required.


Excellent communication skills required. Must have ability to work independently or with a team.


Working Conditions

This position works in a business environment. The ability to walk up and down stairs and lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds is necessary. The ability to sit for prolonged periods is also required.
