Packaging Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team at Octopi Brewing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our can/bottle line fillers and machinery, ensuring the highest quality product is packaged and shipped to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain our can/bottle line fillers and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Package Product: Package in-spec product in a timely and accurate manner, meeting our quality and production standards.
- Perform Changeovers: Perform changeovers of machines, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Perform Minor Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment.
- Review and Confirm Packaging Mix: Review and confirm the proper packaging mix based on volume before filling product.
- Fill Out Packaging Run Data: Accurately fill out packaging run data at respective stations.
- Identify Potential Problems: Identify potential problems with process and workflow, and report to management.
- Take Measurements and Collect Samples: Take measurements and collect samples as part of our quality process.
- Operate Forklift: Safely operate a forklift to transport product between production areas and storage areas.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to our company's safety standards.

Requirements- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior manufacturing experience recommended.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Office products, brewery or beverage experience a plus.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 55lbs and move 165lbs, as needed.
- Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours required.
