Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team at Octopi Brewing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our can/bottle line fillers and machinery, ensuring high-quality packaging of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain our can/bottle line fillers and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Package Products: Package products in-spec, meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Perform Changeovers: Perform changeovers of machines, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Perform Minor Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Review and Confirm Packaging Mix: Review and confirm proper packaging mix based on volume before filling product.
  • Fill Out Packaging Run Data: Fill out packaging run data at respective station, ensuring accurate records.
  • Identify Potential Problems: Identify potential problems with process and workflow, reporting to management.
  • Take Measurements and Collect Samples: Take measurements and collect samples as part of quality process.
  • Operate Forklift: Safely operate forklift to transport product between production area and storage area.
  • Maintain Clean and Safe Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to company standards.

Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.

  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office products, brewery or beverage experience a plus.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 55lbs and move 165lbs, as needed.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours, including overtime as needed.
