Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting for assigned business units, including the period close and financial statements, the development and implementation processes and procedures, internal controls, and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly financial close and issuance of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) for the assigned operating entities.
- Coordinate and oversee performance of analytical review procedures on month-end income statement and balance sheet accounts including account reconciliations.
- Perform continuous assessment of close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close and improve efficiency.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Lead accounting team, train and create opportunities for professional development
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA or MBA is preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience, public accounting experience preferred
- Must possess strong Excel skills as well as demonstrated proficiency with general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with SAP or other large ERP system is preferred
