SUMMARY

As a Gig Enterprises Accounting Manager you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our startup, specializing in multi-company and intercompany transactions. You will be responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient financial operations. As one of the first employees, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape our financial processes and be an integral part of our dynamic, fun, and innovative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters across multiple companies.
  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Ensuring that payroll is consistently run on time and accurately as well as that all benefits and 401k transactions are processed and accurately recorded correctly.
  • Implement new accounting system to manage multiple companies.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for each company within the group.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements.
  • Maintain and assure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Formulate, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Identify potential financial issues and develop mitigation plans to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Work in partnership with tax partners to meet all regular filings.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

General

At Gig Enterprises, we believe that effective accountants must also be highly technically competent and experienced in their field. Candidates must have demonstrated a high degree of technical achievement in addition to professional accounting experience.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

·       Experience working in hardware and manufacturing

  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel required and desire to continually develop the skillset
  • Multi-company and intercompany transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting required
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
