Job description

BOLD Media's 'Hollowed Harvest: Wicked Labyrinth' is seeking several motivated individuals to fill general support roles at the Hollowed Harvest: Wicked Labyrinth in Salem, MA. The Hollowed Harvest brings to life hundreds of incredible Jack-O’-Lanterns in an indoor-walk-through exhibit, located near the heart of the Witch city This event is family friendly, and takes place on select dates between September 20th and October 31st, 2024. Must Have Skills:

  • People / customer service oriented, ability to resolve customer issues with ease
  • Ability to lift 40lbs comfortably, and carry boxes with displays up/down flights of stairs at the venue. Ability to work on hands / knees as required for setting up/powering event displays.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Salem where the event is located
  • Ability to follow directions, and maintain an eye for detail to ensure event quality
  • Comfortable using their personal mobile phone to download an app for scanning tickets on site

  • Fluent in the English language
  • Permitted to work in the United States

Position Responsibilities:

  • Arriving at the show venue 30 minutes prior to opening each evening the show is open to assist with turning on all Jack-O'-Lantern displays, preparing the gates to open for evening, turning on ticket scanners/credit card devices and assisting the managers with any issues prior to event opening.
  • The Event Support Staff may be responsible for playing any one of the following roles during the event:
  • Scanning and check-in all consumer tickets to make sure all individuals have arrived at the correct time and day
  • Ensuring that lines getting into the event do not become overly populated at once.
  • Directing visitors, and operating internal activities as needed
  • Assisting with turning on displays, helping show managers maintain displays throughout the course of the event season
  • Leaving the venue clean each evening, turning off displays following event closing, helping to secure the facility.
  • Assisting with the setup/breakdown of the event structures prior to opening night. Setup takes place the week of Sept 15th and runs daily through show opening, 9am - 5pm. Breakdown similarly runs daily 9am-5pm beginning Nov 1st and concluding on or before Nov 5th as needed.
  • Willingness to take part in an online e-learning course & subsequent in person training session to learn and review show policies and best practices to ensure a quality event experience for both our staff and guests

Ideal Candidates:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for paying attention to detail, reliable, dependable, and responsible. The individual should be reliable, dependable and trustworthy. As well as being capable of multitasking and working well under pressure.
