We are seeking dedicated and energetic Event Coordination Staff who are passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests at the YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge. The ideal candidates will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations with a positive attitude. Availability on weekends is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the event space by arranging tables and chairs as per the requirements of the event host.
- Welcome guests and the event family, guiding them to the designated area.
- Discuss the event details with the hosts and assist in setting up decorations, food, or beverages as needed.
- Display directional signs and other necessary information for the event.
- Manage waste disposal and ensure cleanliness of tables, chairs, and the surrounding area after the event concludes.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, maintaining a respectful and positive attitude towards a diverse group of individuals.
- Uphold appropriate appearance and conduct throughout the event.
- Assist in dismantling the event space, including loading vehicles and breaking down furniture.
- Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, Adult AED, and First Aid (Training may be provided).
