Accounting Manager

Reports to:            Chief of Staff

Department:          Accounting

Exemption Status:  Exempt

Pay:  $55,000 to $70,000

Position Summary:  The Accounting Manager oversees the Finance/Accounting/Inventory operations of the company. They work directly with Company Leaders to implement financial strategies and manage the Company’s internal accounting personnel and external accounting consultants.

Responsibilities:  Leadership, Management, & Accountability (LMA) of Finance, HR, and Administration Department, including internal personnel and external consultants

·         Develops Budgets, track performance against the Budgets and report Budget-to-Actual data to the Leadership Team

·         Prepares detailed reports on Company’s financial performance, including Monthly Quarterly, Year to date Financial Statements

·         Responsible for Daily accounting functions such as cash account management, A/P, A/R, and payroll administration, including monthly sales tax reports

·         Manage and maintain company insurance policies including Builders Risk, General Liability, Workers’ Comp, etc.; Complete annual GL and WC audits and review premium costs

·         Oversees internal inventory management processes/controls

·         Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications – Required:

·         B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance from an accredited program (Required)

·         MBA, MSF or MAcc

·         CMA Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Hands on, self-starting, individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely

·         Successful in dealing with vendor, customer, and company personnel at all levels

·         Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills

·         Recent Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Pro is required

·         High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word) is required

 Physical Qualifications:

 

·         Long stretches of time sitting down and using a computer.

·         Extended periods of time reading a computer screen.

·         Repetitive motion for data entry (typing/clicking).

·         Climbing up and down stairs
