Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as the proactive liaison for our innovative clients, orchestrating work, assignments, and projects.
    • Ensure exceptional client satisfaction through effective communication and high-quality deliverables.
    • Facilitate monthly financial reporting and guarantee a smooth month-end closing process.
    • Spot opportunities for advisory services for clients.
  2. Comprehensive Accounting:
    • Manage full cycle accounting activities: cash reconciliation, expense categorization, and accounts receivable/payable oversight.
    • Supervise fixed asset management.
    • Prepare month-end closing reports.
    • Generate financial statements and board presentations.
    • Oversee payroll processing.
    • Conduct cash-flow assessments.
    • Perform variance analysis.
    • Develop forecasts and strategic planning.
    • Investigate technical accounting inquiries and draft memos.
  3. Process Optimization:
    • Continuously refine and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Innovate through third-party software integrations.
    • Drive efficiency by eliminating redundancies.
    • Provide outstanding backend customer service and support.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of client service experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a people management or client lead role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP and/or IFRS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all accounting cycles (AP, AR, Payroll, Inventory, Project/Cost Accounting).
  • Tech-savvy with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, Sage Intacct, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or QuickBooks Online).
  • Familiarity with automated expense management tools.
  • Experience implementing innovative technology solutions.
  • A great sense of humor.
  • A Master's degree, CMA, CPA, or EA certification.
