This role is a combo of Sales with Engineering knowledge

Applicants will only be considered if they have both of the following:

o B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering with an excellent academic record; and

o 4-5 years of experience as a practicing engineer in structural statics, dynamics, durability, acoustic, thermal, fluids analysis, or test or mechanical design and development.

Provide business development and account management services in aerospace, defense, and energy (including renewable) industries.

Assume a lead role in identifying, developing, shaping, and closing business opportunities.

Coordinate and lead the proposal development and approval process.

Provide account management and customer service support for customers.

Contribute to the development of future marketing strategies for our client.

Participate in sales team meetings/planning sessions and coordinate selling activities with the team.

Develop and execute annual sales plans consistent with company strategy, goals, and objectives.

Will perform Business development and Account Management activities

Business Development Activities:

o Client meetings via in person, phone and email communications

o Responsible for full sales cycle for ‘services sales’ – find opportunities, discuss with client solutions, quite, negotiate and get awarded the work.

Account Management Activities:

· These are current accounts they are doing business with and have a Program Manager assigned to them

· When work is kicked off they attend the meetings, costing and overall deliverables

o High level oversight

§ Keeping eye on the job – handle and scope changes

§ Ensure meeting deliverable and timelines

§ Once work delivered, the Business Development Sales Engineer reengages – follow up on how they did with project, timelines and deliverables – is the client happy? And is there more work to be quoted?

The Business Development Sales engineer will sell the full breadth of Services they offer – within their territory – they will get highly skilled in 1-2 service lines and then will rely on other engineers to help them with Client meetings on other services they are not 100% versed with. You do NOT need to be a master on all the services – there is other support provided to them to help with client meetings.

Net new accounts come by:

· Leads

· Off website

· Conferences attended

· Employees that work for their client, they quit and go somewhere else and pull ATA into that account

· Some cold calling efforts
