Join Galaxy Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer and become an essential part of our dynamic team. In this role, you'll design and develop engineering data to be used by production and quality team members, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and precision in our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will be critical in the development of production and quality planning, including the creation of work instructions, inspection plans, configuration management, and manufacturing plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration: Coordinate with shop supervisors, programmers, planners, and program managers, assisting with special projects as required.

Manufacturing Planning: Create manufacturing plans for detailed parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer engineering and purchase order requirements.

Documentation: Develop and assist in the creation of manufacturing support documentation, including in-process inspection plans, internal procedures, standard work instructions, dimensional inspection reports, and supplier production plans.

Design and Development: Utilize your expertise to design and develop 3D models for internal fixtures, assembly tooling, packaging crates, and more.

Configuration Management: Identify and define product configuration when it deviates from engineering requirements.

Customer Interaction: Interrogate customer engineering to identify, plan, and communicate any requirements to relevant stakeholders.

Support Functions: Assist with purchasing and estimating functions as required.

Technical Coordination: Coordinate technical review meetings with shop managers, programming, and planning teams for new products and engineering changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a similar technical field is preferred. A combination of non-technical education and relevant work experience or specialized training may be considered in lieu of a technical degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in manufacturing is required.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 regulations is essential.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials, specifications, machining, assembly practices, and quality requirements is required.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 is preferred.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
