Quality Inspector

Vector Tooling Technologies is seeking a Quality Inspector who is looking to apply their current skills to a growing company who specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom tooling products for the aerospace and plastics industries.  

Our dedicated climate-controlled inspection lab features advanced measuring equipment including portable Leica Laser Trackers and Romer Arms that give us the flexibility to accurately measure large, tightly toleranced products anywhere throughout our facilities. Utilization of model-based definition inspection software and devices allow us to verify results of manufactured products.

Job Duties & Description

  • Support the assignments given to them by the Quality Inspection Team Leader
  • Perform quality inspection operations and complete the associated documentation
  • Apply the requirements of the Quality System in performance of daily assignments
  • Complete documents for inspection reporting
  • Assist team members with technical support
  • Maintain the work area (cleanliness, organization, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education in trade school, vocational education, mechanical or engineering degrees
  • Must be a competent inspector possessing math, communication, and computer skills
  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and gauges

·         A strong knowledge of GD&T inspection required

  • Experience with Romer Arm, Laser Tracking and/ or Laser Scanner preferred, but not required

·         Previous machine experience is an advantage

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter
  • The ability to multi-task
  • A good work ethic and good attendance
  • The ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company
