About the Role

As the National Account Manager owning our grocery channels, you'll be the driving force behind success, turning challenges into victories and targets into milestones. Your role is a thrilling blend of strategy, creativity, and action, where each day presents new opportunities to exceed expectations and set new standards in the industry. Collaborating with a passionate team, you'll craft innovative assortment plans and implement cutting-edge strategies, all while building lasting relationships with our retail partners. What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end sales process to surpass targets in our grocery channels, covering meeting prep, program kick-offs, sample management, and order tracking to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist in total company Grocery Channel strategy and expansion; onboarding new target customers and if needed building out a distributor network
  • Develop tailored assortment plans for 5-10 accounts, focusing on long-term growth and maximizing sales
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to implement effective product and pricing strategies
  • Coordinate sales meetings, crafting personalized presentations and providing necessary materials
  • Cultivate strong relationships with retail partners through proactive communication and attentive service
  • Offer analytical and presentation support to leadership for key accounts
  • Oversee accurate item setup and collaborate with Operations to maintain sales forecasts
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage account details including pricing and advertising records
  • Conduct store checks, website audits, and respond to industry information requests

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in a consumer goods sales role, with at least 2+ years selling into the grocery channel specifically
  • Proven excellence in presenting to stakeholders of all levels and cultivating a customer centric approach to business
  • Strong account and project management skills and the ability to multitask multiple client requests
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail and organizational skills, and fully capable of managing and working on multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot issues independently with the capacity to anticipate potential challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Adapt quickly to changes in systems, processes, and business requirements, maintaining a flexible and agile mindset

Note: Leapfrog is currently operating under a hybrid work model, and this position will report on site to our Lincoln Park office at least 2 days per week.
