Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or surpass assigned sales targets by brand and overall for each customer and territory.
  • Establish and nurture strong business relationships with key accounts, engaging with personnel beyond the buyer level to create Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with top-volume clients.
  • Proactively solicit orders from existing and potential new direct accounts for our comprehensive product line.
  • Effectively manage account assignments to ensure appropriate quality and frequency of coverage.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and sales team to guarantee complete account coverage.
  • Timely completion of contribution reports, RFQs, and pricing updates.
  • Engage with all levels of assigned accounts across various departments, including purchasing, logistics, and service.
  • Monitor and resolve all sales-related customer deductions promptly.
  • Authorize returned goods in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop sales forecasts by account and brand.
  • Operate within designated selling expenses and trade budgets.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for special trade programs at selected accounts as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate pricing at all accounts and follow up on overdue payments as required.
  • Maintain current customer records in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management on competitive products and merchandising strategies.
  • Prepare and submit call and expense reports as required.
  • Provide special reports regarding territory operations, product acceptance, or competitive conditions as requested, including account-level POS information.
  • Recommend new product additions and modifications to existing products as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of sales experience in the proactive packaging steel/metals and stretch films industry.
  • Experience selling to steel and metals service centers is essential.
  • Willingness to travel 50% to 60% of the time; must reside near a major airport.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular tasks involve reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and using hands for various functions.

Occasionally, this position may involve working near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions, with exposure to wet or humid environments, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electric shock risks, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.
