Job Description:
The Orange County regional office of a Multi-Line Insurance Company (Farmers Insurance) wants to add a Commercial Sales Specialist to our team. This position is for a qualified, experienced insurance candidate who understands the commercial insurance marketplace. You will be interacting daily with other producers to provide guidance on commercial products, marketing, risk management, and information to improve their sales and retention. Overall, this person will oversee the commercial performance of all producers under them.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with producers
- Consult and develop sales and growth strategies
- Mentor and coach by providing training in commercial products, marketing, prospecting, sales process, etc.
- Aid with renewals, new proposals, and sales-related initiatives
- Work closely with the underwriting team
- Communicate with our team on the performance of sales goals and production
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Commercial Insurance experience
- Property & Casualty license required
- Working knowledge of underwriting principles for property and casualty insurance
- Excellent presentation skills – the ability to drive optimal outcomes depending on the role you are facing – Underwriter, Producer, or Prospect
- Great attention to detail with strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workloads and priorities
