We are currently seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Benefits Specialist will report directly to the Benefits Manager and will be tasked with conducting thorough analyses, evaluating benefits programs, and ensuring that our employees receive competitive and compliant benefits packages.

This position requires a solid understanding of benefits administration, data analysis, and exceptional communication skills.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the strategic development, design, implementation, communication, maintenance, and compliance of employee benefits programs both in the U.S. and globally.
  • Oversee the daily management of benefit programs, including health, wellness, disability benefits, 401(k), FSA, and HSA, ensuring continuous improvement, accuracy, and timely administration.
  • Manage the administration of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other state-specific leave policies, collaborating with third-party administrators and HR business partners to ensure accurate tracking and record-keeping.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding their benefits needs, including managing inquiries, resolving claims, and collaborating with benefits brokers and carriers.
  • Develop financial models, reporting metrics, and analytics to assess plan effectiveness, vendor performance, and policy changes, while tracking budget versus actual expenditures.
  • Partner with the Benefits Manager during the annual Open Enrollment process, which includes drafting communications, updating the benefits portal, testing the enrollment system, and ensuring accurate processing of elections.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of benefits policies and procedures, recommending and implementing necessary changes.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations, ensuring accurate filing of required documents.
  • Manage benefits-related projects, such as plan design changes and vendor selection.

Wellness Program Development:

Develop, implement, and manage wellness initiatives to enhance employee well-being.


Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in health, welfare, and retirement benefits plan design and administration.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs and administration practices.
  • Experience in researching, modeling, and implementing new benefits vendors and programs.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems; experience with Workday is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in using spreadsheets for data analysis and audits.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation.
  • Experience in global benefits administration.
