Role Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Operations Transition Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring seamless transitions of new tools and technologies into operational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful transitions.
- Design and implement communication strategies that support transition efforts.
- Act as a liaison between operational teams and program developers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes, systems, and customer needs related to specific capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to execute deliverables, including workflow development and readiness reviews.
- Address challenges by leveraging strategic operational concepts and best practices.
- Collaborate with technical writers to ensure the completion of necessary documentation for stakeholder teams.
- Document and track progress, ensuring transparency and awareness among operators.
- Adhere to company policies and standards to ensure quality and consistency in project delivery.
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies to relevant team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for government security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field. Alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- A minimum of five years of experience in space operations, with at least one year in a Mission Operations Center or Satellite Operations Center.
- Proven experience in customer service or account management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex issues and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in process development, six-sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with software implementation and customer operations software.
- Experience in writing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Agile or SAFE Agile certification.
- Knowledge of SharePoint or content management systems.
