This position involves evaluating new business prospects across North America, maintaining comprehensive records of market evaluations, analyzing industry trends, and offering insights on competitive dynamics. Additionally, the role requires the creation of communication materials that showcase ENGIE's strengths and the unique features of its offerings, while also fostering relationships with both new and existing clients.
In this position, the Renewable Energy Marketing Specialist will engage in significant analytical tasks within the Structured Origination team, promoting a collaborative environment across ENGIE. This includes close interaction with ENGIE's risk management and energy trading divisions.
- Conduct thorough analyses of wholesale electricity markets and assess potential hedging strategies, utilizing a quantitative approach to risk evaluation while effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Identify and analyze national trends affecting the renewable energy sector and their implications for customer competitiveness.
- Collaborate with ENGIE's project support teams across various functions including development, construction, operations, maintenance, procurement, finance, and energy trading.
- Provide insights on structuring and risk mitigation for new opportunities, including reviewing and drafting term sheets, analyzing prospective projects, and assessing existing agreements.
- Facilitate ENGIE's internal approval processes.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on contracts management, negotiations, risk management, and quantitative analysis.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in the energy sector with a strong emphasis on analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Commercial insight combined with robust analytical and technical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high energy and adaptability.
- Excellent technical writing, attention to detail, and presentation abilities.
- Reliable attendance and effective time management skills, demonstrating self-motivation.
- Strong collaborative skills to work across departments and with external clients.
Additional Information
- This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 15% of the time is required.
- Compliance with ENGIE's ethics and safety policies is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually. This range reflects the average expected compensation for a qualified candidate. Actual salary may vary based on various factors including geography, experience, and education.
In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
