In this position you will be responsible for the following:

  • Meets directly with customers to establish packaging needs and to assist with the development of new packaging projects
  • Maintain and service existing accounts
  • Prepare formal presentations to customers on proposed products.
  • Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and assist with the preparation of custom orders subject to the approval of the company
  • Investigate and expedite product claims and complaints in accordance with the company’s policies for maintaining safe quality food packaging and good manufacturing practices and assist to resolve problems and recommend corrective action
  • Keep the company informed on competitive products, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing, and market policies
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities, sales volume, expenses, etc.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and budgets as required by management

 

Our custom sales representative is responsible for coordinating and assisting new custom product development by communicating customer needs and expectations to our engineering, production, and shipping staff. (Prepare and deliver prototype samples as needed). They must ensure that clients are satisfied with their purchases and address any issues that arise promptly.

 

What it takes to succeed:

All you need is 3 years of experience in manufacturing sales or related fields. Having a business degree is a BONUS but not required. Requires proficient computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), and the ability to operate various office equipment to include voice mail, copier, fax, and calculator. Having experience in B2B sales, manufacturer direct sales, plastic, packaging, design process, and product design cycle would be a plus. Occasional travel to customers’ sites in southeast Wisconsin is a must.
