Your Role: As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's outgoing procure-to-pay process. Your accuracy and timeliness in maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring prompt vendor payments will directly impact the overall financial health of our organization. You will collaborate closely with other departments to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and streamline payment processes. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software are crucial for success in this role. Join us in maintaining efficient and accurate accounts payable procedures for a brighter financial future.


What You'll Do:

● Responsible for the Company’s procure-to-pay process.
● Ensuring timely, accurate, and appropriate approval of Purchase Orders in accordance with Company policy.
● Preparing other transactions posted through the AP subledger.
● Monitor our AP three-way match process to ensure the appropriateness of vendor invoices before processing payment, including reviewing transactions for appropriate GL classification.
● Assists Accounting team in identifying potential bottlenecks or issues and recommends resolutions.
● Ensures the AP vendor master information is up to date.
● Reviews and submits vendor statement reconciliations for approval; resolves vendor issues on a monthly basis.
● Maintains excellent professional relationships with vendors and internal customers and provides proactive customer service in assisting with inquiries regarding account status information and other requests.
● Reconciles the AP ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
● Reconciles the AP Bank transactions daily.
● Assists Staff Accountant with period-end close procedures, including performing account reconciliations.
● Assist Staff Accountant with external audit requests.
● Assist with special projects as assigned.
● Assist with 1099 Distribution at Year End.

What You Bring:

● Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable and analysis experience.
● Associate’s degree or equivalent
● Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills
● Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task
● Self-starter with a business focus
● Must have intermediate MS Excel skills (ability to create basic PivotTables) and manipulate large data sets (VLOOKUP and INDEX- MATCH)
● Experience with ERP (NetSuite, JD Edwards, etc.) experience is required.
● Stampli experience and Certify experience.
● Aptitude for learning new systems.
● Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
