Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description

The Kelly Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team in Decatur, Illinois. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Issue purchase orders and manage inventory levels
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
  • Perform data entry and answer incoming phone calls
  • Research and resolve discrepancies and vendor inquiries
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of clerical and/or accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounts payable cycle and general ledger
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
