As a member of our team, you'll contribute to crafting bespoke events that not only follow trends but set them, standing the test of time in our clients' memories. Join us, and be a part of a family that values creativity, dedication, and the creation of lifelong relationships and memories.

Department: Production
Position Title: Production Assistant

Position Overview:
The Production Assistant at Jackson Durham plays a vital support role in the event production process, working under the guidance of the Director of Operations and the Warehouse Manager. This role is instrumental in ensuring the seamless preparation, transport, and installation of event essentials. Adhering to the highest industry standards, the Production Assistant helps bring our client's visions to life, reflecting the impeccable quality standards that define the Jackson Durham brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for daily logistics, including deliveries, pickups, and event setup.
  • Prepare and stage event materials, ensuring readiness for transport and installation.
  • Repair and maintain event elements, including furniture and stage pieces, to uphold Jackson Durham’s aesthetic standards.
  • Manage warehouse organization, maintaining a clean and efficient storage environment.
  • Safely load and transport event materials, employing appropriate protective measures to prevent damage.
  • Install and dismantle event elements on-site, working efficiently to execute the design plan.
  • Participate actively in the post-event strike process, ensuring all materials are returned to storage in excellent condition.
  • Assist in warehouse inventory management, contributing to reorganization and inventory tracking efforts.

Expectations of Conduct:

  • Demonstrate initiative and motivation in completing tasks.
  • Follow directions accurately, maintaining focus on detailed execution
  • Express a willingness to learn and grow within the field of event production.
  • Work diligently and safely, upholding Jackson Durham’s commitment to excellence.
  • This role is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The event industry is rigorous and requires a proactive, energetic mindset. Slackers and those who do not rise to the occasion will find this position challenging. We seek team members who demonstrate resilience, efficiency, and the ability to maintain high standards under pressure. The physical demands are considerable, but for the right candidate, the rewards are equally significant, both in personal accomplishment and in the joy of creating unforgettable events. If you are not invigorated by a dynamic, high-energy setting, this may not be the right fit for you.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Effective communication in English, with the ability to understand and execute detailed instructions.
  • Eagerness to engage in the event production process, with a commitment to learning and improvement.
  • Valid driver’s license with the capability to drive vehicles as needed for event logistics.
  • Physical ability to handle the demands of event setup and takedown, including lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions. Applicants with mobility restrictions need not apply for this position.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Experience in the event industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Openness to travel is highly regarded, offering the opportunity to be part of our team producing breathtaking events across the nation and beyond. While not a requirement for the role, the ability to travel is a plus, as it expands the scope of your experience with us. When traveling, all related expenses are covered by Jackson Durham, including a daily per diem, ensuring a comfortable and rewarding experience as you help bring our signature events to life.

Educational Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is a plus, but not required.

This position is initially offered on a temporary, hourly contract basis, with no guaranteed minimum hours. However, for those who demonstrate exceptional skill, work ethic, and compatibility with our team and ethos, there is potential for this role to evolve into a permanent position within the Jackson Durham family. This role is designed to evolve, responding to the changing needs of our dynamic event environment. We value flexibility, a collaborative spirit, and a drive to maintain the esteemed reputation of Jackson Durham in every task undertaken. If you're ready to contribute to a team that delivers extraordinary experiences, we encourage you to apply.
