Position Overview

This hybrid position seeks a driven sales professional with expertise in the Sound, Lighting, and Video sectors.

Key Responsibilities

While this list is not exhaustive, the following are primary duties associated with this role:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while strategically expanding existing accounts.
  • Manage the complete sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Estimate event costs and margins in alignment with company standards and in consultation with management.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer, lead, and opportunity data in our CRM system.
  • Establish connections with potential clients through networking events, virtual meetings, and social media to promote our event services.
  • Conduct research on prospective clients using available resources.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients and potential clients in the market.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Technical Product Managers to prepare responses to requests for proposals.
  • Interpret contract scopes and terms effectively.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 4-year degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Sound, Lighting, or Video industries.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a knack for creative solutions.
  • Comfortable engaging with new individuals; resilience in accepting both wins and losses is crucial.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly in CRM and sales tools.
  • Ability to adhere to established company policies while suggesting improvements.
  • Exhibit passion, humility, integrity, a positive attitude, and a self-driven approach.
  • Willingness to be coached and to develop skills for success in this role and within the company.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role necessitates frequent movement within an office environment, as well as at venues and event sites. The position requires the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time and the capacity to navigate stairs. Work conditions may vary between indoor and outdoor settings, with temperatures ranging from extreme heat to cold. The ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally is required.

Travel Requirements

This position involves frequent travel, up to 25% of the time, primarily within the United States, including regular overnight stays.

Work Schedule

Typical work hours apply, with the possibility of evening and weekend work during peak periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with applicable laws.
