We are a leading manufacturer of tools, equipment, and kits proudly serving the military and commercial aerospace customers. We are experiencing a period of rapid growth and we are expanding our team to meet the needs of our business and global customer base.

Our team designs and engineers products, outsources fabrication, and then brings finished subassemblies back in house for final assembly, testing, and kitting. Clayton designs and manufactures industrial vacuums and tools, both electric and air powered, for aerospace customers including all aircraft/spacecraft manufacturers, commercial airlines, and military armed forces.


About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing & Production Manager to join our team. In this role you will be tasked with managing inventory and quality control to ensure that our products are manufactured to our quality specifications, packaged according to military and customer specifications, and delivered to our shipping department for final packaging. You will partner with the Operations, Warehouse and Shipping Managers to ensure seamless flow of product through the facility, maximizing throughput and minimizing time and materials lost. You will proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, and equipment maintenance.


How You Will Spend Your Time:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement by proactive analysis of production and quality control processes and procedures
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling and staffing of production process from end to end
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and tracking programs in order to meet company objectives.
  • Act as site leader ensuring strict observance of all Company policies and SOP
  • Review staff and material requirements to ensure production targets are met.
  • Oversee the procurement, usage, modification, and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Communicate current and new health and safety regulations and strategies with staff and management.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for production operations.


To Be Successful in this role you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred with 5 + years of experience
  • Knowledge of raw materials, machines, tools, quality systems and standards; health and safety standards and compliance; process improvement techniques
  • General tool and manufacturing knowledge; understanding of hand and power tools; general understanding of manufacturing processes (molding, sheet metal, machining, additive manufacturing, etc).
  • Ability to solve complex problems and possess strong decision making skills
  • Must be data driven with ability identify trends inventory trends
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking acumen
  • General Knowledge/Skills: Must have solid computer skills including an understanding of MS Word and Excel a plus.
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership abilities. Must have excellent organization and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma is a plus
